SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,451 lbs at 193.67, heifers 1,293 lbs at 192.40. Dressed
delivered steers 940 lbs at 310.04, heifers 873 lbs at 310.00. Weekly
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 317.78, dn
7.00 and Select 300.62, dn 3.11.
National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week, early
weaned pigs are mostly steady and feeder pigs are 2.00 per head lower.
Demand moderate for moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis
28.18; 40 lbs cash basis 43.00.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs price was not compared at
65.30. Sows live price 300-449 lbs 57.81, 450-499 lbs 63.37, and 500-549
lbs 63.24.
SC Grain on Monday: New crop corn bids were 9 to 11 cents higher;
elevator bids 4.25-5.15, processor bids 4.35-4.60. New Crop Soybeans
bids were 32 to 33 cents higher; elevator bids 10.08-10.33, processor bid
11.08 and export 10.98. Wheat bids were 5 to 10 cents higher; elevator
bids 4.05-4.68.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was at 66.13.
